Probationary Period for New Employees
New employees at Check Mate Productions are subject to a 90-day probationary period. This is meant to be a period for adjustment and evaluation of the employee’s suitability.

The human resources department may extend the probation period beyond 90 days upon supervisor recommendation.

Example 26: Sales Representative Agreements
Sales Representative Agreement
Wilson Aeronautics Incorporated, hereinafter referred to as the Company, and Penelope Clark, hereinafter referred to as the Agent, enter into this sales representative agreement.
The Agent agrees to:
• Sell the Company’s products in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts
• Comply with all Company policies
• Accurately represent Company’s products to customers
• Not sell or promote a competitor’s product line during the duration of this agreement
• Contact the sales director weekly
• Submit all orders promptly
• Return all Company materials and products upon termination of this agreement
• Give a minimum of 25 days notice prior to terminating of this agreement
The Company agrees to:
• Pay a commission of 5 percent of gross sales in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts
• Provide the agent with the use of a company car, laptop computer, cellular telephone, training with products, marketing brochures and videos, and product specification sheets
• Give 25 days notice prior to terminating this agreement
This agreement constitutes the Agent’s exclusive sales territory.

Example 27: Separation Agreements
Separation Agreement
This agreement will confirm the points of our May 16 conversation regarding the termination of your employment at Yellen Digital Technologies.
We explained Yellen Digital Technologies wishes to make your transition to other employment as smooth as possible. Instead of termination, we agreed you would resign and be free to tell prospective employers you left Yellen Digital Technologies voluntarily.
In addition to the severance pay and benefits you are entitled to under our standard policy, we will provide an office for use in your employment search from June 1 to 14 and a four month extension of your health plan.
You acknowledge this agreement represents the complete and final settlement of any and all claims resulting from your employment with Yellen Digital Technologies. These claims are including but not limited to claims under contract, tort, or state or federal statutes that you may have now or in the future. With the exception of the benefits named in this agreement, you agree this company owes you no further liability or obligations after employment is terminated June 13.
We also agree that you must return the following company property in order to receive the stipulated pay and benefits:
1. Cellular phone
2. Company car
3. Laptop computer
4. Marketing materials
You are welcome to examine this agreement with your attorney before signing it. Your signature indicates your assent to this agreement. The terms will be kept in confidence.
We are pleased we have been able to come to this agreement and part with good feelings. We wish you the best in finding employment that takes advantage of your talents and skills.

• Enforce the policies of Jones & Lockhart.

• Stock and track usage of office supplies

4. Regular working days and hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

7. Employment is at will and may be terminated by you or Jones & Lockhart without cause.
